Athaia friend of mine has done a very artistic leather working staff, but do not know what to call it in english.It includes leather pieces that are carved with intricate designs, animals, plants have been etcholes work using some kind of tool.I think works Patten overlay a document and then work with their tools to carve inticate pattens.My sensitive issue is what this craft called in English.
If I follow the correct description is called "leather SIZE. A design overlaps then traced over the lines marking the skin moist. A knife is used to cut the lines to add definition. Various seals are used to compress the surrounding areas and areas of low to provide almost 3D effect.
