Cannot figure out the title of this movie?

I saw a movie 10 years ago in school. I can not remember the title but it was akward listening and has been me. Be a certified high school that everyone wanted to be part of something called "blue wave or wave can not remember. Except this girl who has not. Werent violent or anything, but the premise of the movie was about to be popular and acceptance. I think it was filmed in the 70's or 80's.

The All I can think (because we saw it in school) was a movie called "The Wave". It was based on a true teacher doing an experiment if the Holocaust type of event can still occur. Gradually built on the vulnerability of students to be accepted and even popular. It was in the 70s or early 80s. JJ
